ohmygoshitsmai28thbirthday.

Happy birthday to me!

Hmmm...i always thought i would hate being in my late 20s...but i don't seem to mind it. Ask me in a month and see how I feel. HAH!

I had school on my birthday, so I couldn't really get to crazy with the dressing up (and its like 20 degrees outside) but here is my outfit:

boots: joie, h&m shorts, urban outfitters capelet, gap tights, all saints spinalfield scarf, helmut lang top, headband made by me, jewelry: iam. jewelry mixed with some vintage pieces.

As some of you may know, I am originally from Honolulu, Hawaii. I wish I could have seen my family during my birthday, but I did get a sweet phone call from my Mom and Dad while I was at my birthday dinner with my friends. I miss my mom so much that I bought this for myself as a birthday present:

Its a vintage leather bag from the 1940s, in mint condition. I love the detailing so much! Now I can have my mom by my side at all times :) I miss you Mommy!

I recently had a custom order for a pinky ring for one of my many homos back in Hawaii. He said he loved my double bar ring, but wanted something a little more subtle. It came out really cute, and I actually used a thicker rod and ring for him.:

Here I am, working hard in the studio:

I put it on, and it actually looks cute as a women's ring too!

My jewelry line purposely looks very unisex, and that's what I really love about it. It is so versatile, but you can still layer it with other jewelry pieces to make a real statement.

If you'd like a custom piece, you can message me or find me on my etsy store.

GOLD GOLD GOLD.

I am finally in my last semester at F.I.T. This week was quite stressful, juggling 12 classes (20.5 credits), an internship, and my jewelry line orders on Etsy. I still need to buy about $1000 in school supplies/materials/books. I am currently accepting donations...*sigh.

ANYWAY...

I recently had a special order for the square earrings in pure 18K Gold. They came out so beautiful! I can also make them in brushed gold. I think I'm going to get a pair casted for myself next week:

You can find this item on my etsy store.

New featured item of the week from my vintage shop:

MINT CONDITION DIOR OVERSIZED EYEGLASSES. These seriously have no visible scratches, and the color and shape is simply amazing.

This 80s Geometric Top would be fab with ankle boots and leggings! The best part is, its only $34!!!

This top would be great with these vintage boots:

You can find tnis and more fabulous vintage finds at candyLULU Vintage Shop!

Have a nice weekend, everyone.

Snap back to reality. Back to New York City.

Back in the city. My trip home was pretty hectic. Since it was half business (well, maybe 75% business) that I was only able to go to the beach twice! :(

However, my friend Roger took me on an "booze cruise" which was pretty fun. You basically pay $35 to go sailing on this boat and it is all you can drink Mai Tais and beers. Pretty awesome, I gotta say.

Here are some photos:

I started to help my friend with her Vintage Etsy Store recently. I am helping her with her shoes and accessories (including jewelry) department. We have A LOT of cute things, and I am tempted to keep some of these items myself. Here are a few of my favorites:

This adorable vintage coral ruffle dress:

I also love this
70s gold accordian necklace. An awesome piece to wear on a girls night out:

These vintage YSL eye glasses. For a vintage pair of eyeglasses, they are in excellent condition:

Hurry! A lot of things are being sold, and they're all one-of-a-kind pieces. Go to candyLULU Vintage Shop!

I received this as a gift from my dear friend Terumi that runs kawaiifriendscafe:

I use it to put my little earrings and findings in it. She makes everything from scratch, isn't it adorable?
